How Hugo Legacy works
Instead of a traditional fixed-payline layout, Hugo Legacy uses a large 7×7 grid and cluster-style gameplay. Play’n GO describes the objective around clearing groups of symbols from the grid while building progress toward its character-driven features.
The game uses symbols connected to the Hugo universe, including Dynamite, the Legacy Cap, Gold, Keys, Diamonds and character symbols. As winning activity develops, the game can build progress toward the Overcharge Meter and its character modifiers.
Charge features
Five characters can alter the grid in different ways. Play’n GO’s game information describes effects that can add Wild symbols, upgrade lower-paying symbols, preserve valuable Wilds, transform symbols into Wilds and duplicate symbols to help create new winning clusters.
The Charge system is designed to make successive grid events more important than a simple one-spin result. Different character abilities can change the symbol layout and create additional opportunities before the sequence ends.
